डोईवाला। टिहरी बांध की खातिर अपना घर-बार छोड़कर अठुरवाला में बसे लोगों द्वारा टिहरी महोत्सव का आयोजन किय जाता है।
टिहरी महोत्सव का आयोजन 7, 8 और 9 जनवरी को आयोजित किया जा रहा है। तीन दिनों तक आयोजित किए जाने वाले इस बार के टिहरी महोत्सव का शुभारंभ मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत द्वारा किया गया। शुभारंभ करते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि टिहरी विस्थापितों का विकास में अहम योगदान है।
कहा जब वो टिहरी के प्रभारी मंत्री थे तो उन्होंने ही टिहरी में वोट चलवाकर टिहरी महोत्सव की शुरूवात करवाई थी। बीते नवंबर में आयोजित रैबार कार्यक्रम में 14 देशों के लोगों ने प्रतिभाग किया था। टिहरी में डोब्रा-चांडी पुल के लिए 88 करोड़ रूपए एकमुस्त देकर रूके हुए कार्य को पूरा करवाया गया है।
1200 करोड़ रूपए खर्च करके टिहरी झील में पर्यटन की संभावनाओं को बढाया जा रहा है। और कई अन्य कार्य भी टिहरी और टिहरी विस्थापितों के लिए किए जा रहे हैं। कार्यक्रम में गढवाली कार्यक्रमों की प्रस्तुति दी गई।
