देहरादून। उत्तराखंड बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग की अध्यक्ष ऊषा नेगी ने इगास पर्व पर सार्वजनिक अवकाश घोषित करने  के लिए मुख्यमंत्री को इस संबध में एक पत्र भेजा है।

मुख्यमंत्री को भेजे गए पत्र में आयोग की अध्यक्ष ने कहा है कि उत्तराखंड में बिहार और उत्तरप्रदेश के काफी संख्या में प्रवासी निवास कर रहे हैं। जिसका संज्ञान लेते हुए उत्तराखंड सरकार ने छठ के अवसर पर सार्वजनिक अवकाश घोषित किया था। उत्तराखंड का स्थानीय त्योहार इगास एक महत्वपूर्ण पर्व है।

 

और इस पर्व से राज्य की सांस्कृतिक पहचान जुड़ी हुई है। वर्तमान में ज्यादातर लोग और युवा पीढी इगास के बारे में ज्यादा जानकारी नहीं रखते हैं। इसलिए इगास को अवकाश घोषित करने के साथ ही प्रदेशवासियों को इस पर्व को मनाए जाने को प्रेरित करना चाहिए। इससे पलायन करने वाले लोगों में मेरा गांव मेरी पहचान के अंतर्गत अपनी संस्कृति के बारे में अच्छा संदेश जाएगा।
