देहरादून। अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थान एम्स ऋषिकेश में शुक्रवार को कोरोना वायरस से ग्रसित मरीजों के लिए पोर्टेबल बेडसाइड ब्रोकोस्कोपी की सुविधा विधिवत शुरू हो गई।

कोविड19 के विश्वव्यापी संक्रमण के दौर में मरीजों के लिए उपलब्ध कराई गई इस सुविधा से जरुरत पड़ने पर आइसोलेशन वार्ड में भर्ती सांस के मरीजों की वहीं पर ब्रोंकोस्कोपी की जा सकेगी, इसके लिए उसे ऑपरेशन थियेटर में शिफ्ट नहीं करना पड़ेगा, जिससे कोरोना संक्रमण का खतरा काफी हद तक कम हो जाएगा।

गौरतलब है कि कोविड से सांस रोगों से ग्रसित मरीजों के सबसे अधिक संक्रमित होने का खतरा रहता है। ऐसे में ग्रसित मरीज की सांस की नली में ट्यूमर की जांच, सांस की नली से खून निकलने अथवा बलगम फंसने आदि जांच में बेडसाइड पोर्टेबल ब्रोंकोस्कोपी से जांच सुगम हो सकेगी व मरीज से दूसरे लोगों को संक्रमण के खतरों को कम किया जा सकता है।

शुक्रवार को एम्स निदेशक पद्मश्री प्रोफेसर रवि कांत ने अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थान ऋषिकेश में ओएनजीसी के सहयोग से उपलब्ध पोर्टेबल बेडसाइड ब्रोकोस्कोपी सुविधा का विधिवत शुभारंभ किया। उन्होंने बताया कि ओएनजीसी द्वारा खासतौर पर कोविड19 के दौर में मरीजों से कोरोना संक्रमण के बढ़ते खतरे के मद्देनजर इसके लिए सीएसआर मद से एम्स संस्थान का सहयोग किया गया है। जिसका लाभ जरुरतमंद मरीजों को आइसोलेशन वार्ड में ही मिल सकेगा,

साथ ही इसके लिए मरीज को ओटी में शिफ्ट करने की जरुरत नहीं पड़ेगी, जिससे मरीज से दूसरे लोगों में संक्रमण का खतरा भी काफी हद तक कम हो जाएगा। निदेशक एम्स पद्मश्री प्रो. रवि कांत ने इसके लिए ओएनजीसी प्रबंधन का आभार व्यक्त किया और मरीजों के हित में उनकी इस पहल की सराहना की। साथ ही उन्होंने कारपोरेशन प्रबंधन से मरीजों को बेहतर सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराने के तहत भविष्य में अन्य प्रोजेक्ट्स में भी संस्थान का सहयोग करने को कहा।

संस्थान के पल्मोनरी मेडिसिन विभागाध्यक्ष डा. गिरीश सिंधवानी ने बताया कि इसके लिए एम्स संस्थान की पूर्व में ओएनजीसी के साथ संयुक्त बैठक हुई थी। जिसमें कोविडकाल में मरीजों से कोविड संक्रमण फैलने के खतरों पर चर्चा की गई,जिसके मद्देनजर कारपोरेशन की ओर से एम्स संस्थान को सीएसआर मद से पोर्टेबल बेडसाइड ब्रोंकोस्कोपी के लिए सहयोग किया गया।

इस अवसर पर संस्थान की डीन सीएसआर डा. श्रीपर्णा बासू, नोडल ऑफिसर कोविड डा. मधुर उनियाल के अलावा ओएनजीसी के जीजीएम एचसीए वीके जैन, जीएम सीएसआर आरके द्विवेदी, जीएम मेडिकल पी. वासन, जीएम आरके डोभाल, आर. त्रिवेदी, डीजीएम टीबी हाशिम आदि मौजूद रहे।
