देहरादून। नगर पालिका परिषद डोईवाला में सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक खत्म करने का एक कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया।

कार्यक्रम में सीपैट संस्थान और दूसरे विद्यार्थियों ने भी भाग लिया। सभासदों और उपस्थित लोगों को प्लास्टिक के खतरों के बारे में बताकर शपथ दिलवाई गई। अधिशासी अधिकारी ने डॉक्यूमेंट्री फिल्म दिखाकर कहा कि प्लास्टिक जानवरों में मौत का एक बड़ा कारण बन रहा है। साथ ही प्लास्टिक की परत बारिश के पानी को भूगर्भ में जाने से रोक रही है। वहीं खाने-पीने की चीजों को भी प्लास्टिक बुरी तरह प्रभावित कर रहा है।

कार्यक्रम में दूसरे वक्ताओं ने भी विचार रखे। नगर क्षेत्र में प्लास्टिक मुक्त यात्रा भी निकाली गई। इस अवसर पर नपा अध्यक्षा सुमित्रा मनवाल, सुजीत कुमार दत्ता, देवशीष पांडा, राकेश पटेल, नरेश कुमार, व्यापार मंडल अध्यक्ष रमेश वासन, गौरव मलहोत्रा, भारत भूषण, अजय पांचाल, अवतार सिंह, परमीत कुमार, शैलेंद्र गुसाई, अमित चौहान आदि उपस्थित रहे।
